Chongming Industrial Park was chosen as the municipal industrial park approved by Shanghai people's government in February 1996. With a total area of 10 square meters, it is located in west side of Chongming, the third biggest island in China.

Abiding by the overall requirements of "high-starting point planning, high-standard construction, and high-speed development", the industrial park makes every effort to attract investment and develop the construction of the infrastructure and has attracted a lot of enterprises to invest and run business in the Park by its outstanding investment environment, favorable policies, and first-rate service. At present, the communication is convenient, the electric power is sufficient, the roads are wide, the factories are standing high, and the environment is so pleasant. As the chief growth point for the economic growth in Chongming, the Park is praised as "the garden industrial park", ranked among the national exemplary township enterprises by Ministry of Agriculture, and chosen as the municipal science and technology park in Shanghai.
